naar Surabaya voor de kampactie

De kampactie is bij velen van de YMCA een bekend project. Toch nog even een korte uitleg. YMCA Nederland start een samenwerking met een andere YMCA ergens op de wereld om in een periode van 2 jaar geld in te zamelen voor een specifiek project en om aandacht te vragen voor deze YMCA. Dit komt concreet tot uiting op drie manieren.

1. in de zomerreizen waar naast aandacht aan het project ook geld wordt ingezameld door kamp deelnemers op de meest creatieve manieren.
2. Ook wordt de kampactie ondersteund door Tri-axy, een landelijk spel dat wordt gespeeld door lokale jeugdclubs en groepen. meer informatie op: http://www.ymca.nl/organisatie/organisatie.aspx?ID=7552.
3. En ook wordt voor de kerstdagen aan de persoonlijke leden een bijdrage gevraagd.

De kampactie voor 2011-2012 ondersteunt de renovatie en reorganisatie van een YMCA School in Surabaya, Indonesie. YMCA Nederland is ook betrokken bij de gehele reorganisatie van YMCA Indonesie. Eind september is de nationale vergadering van YMCA Indonesie en een groep YMCA's (Partner Support Group) die de organisatie ondersteunt komt ook bij elkaar.  Komende week ga ik op bezoek bij de YMCA in Surabaya om de situatie ter plekke te zien. Ok zal ik de nationale vergadering van YMCA Indonesia die plaatsvind in Yogyakarta bijwonen.

YMCA Netherlands has a bi-annual collaboration with another YMCA somewhere in the world for a period of two years. The goal is to raise money for a specific project and to draw attention to this YMCA. We have 3 ways to achieve that

1. During the summercamps where, besides attention to the project, money is collected by camp participants in the most creative ways.
2. Also, the camp action is supported by Tri-Axy, a national game that is played by local youth clubs and groups. More information on: http://www.ymca.nl/organisatie/organisatie.aspx?ID=7552.
3. And around Christmas  a personal contribution is asked from personal members of YMCA Nederland.

The camp action for 2011-2012 supports the renovation and reorganization of a YMCA School in Surabaya, Indonesia. YMCA Netherlands is also involved in a support group to YMCA Indonesia. End of September, the National Assembly of YMCA Indonesia will take place. During this event the YMCA Partner Support Group has comes together as well.

Next week I will visit the YMCA in Surabaya to see the project with my own eyes and I will attend the national meeting of YMCA Indonesia taking place in Yogyakarta.
